The Greater Broadway Partnership 2008 Annual Meeting at Beatnik Studios

Last night Kevin and I attended the Greater Broadway Partnership's 2008 Annual Meeting & Mixer held at Beatnik Studios on 17th & Broadway. This was a wonderful opportunity for business owners and property owners alike to get together and talk about the area we live and work in...The Broadway Corridor.

The Board of Directors held their meeting that consisted of the election of Board Members, Election of Officers, Discussion of bids and award of contract for security on Broadway. The Board had 3 special guests there to speak - Bill Harrell - Design Class Activities on Broadway, Elaine Corn and Robin Datel - Capital Public Radio - Broadway Restaurant Series.

Proceeding the meeting attendees adjourned to the front of Beatnik Studios where we were treated to the wonderful food from Bali Wine Bar & Grill, mingled with neighbors, had the opportunity to view the work from the Design Class on their objectives and ideas for Broadway, as well as enjoy the wonderful studio and all the photographers work displayed on the walls.

The Greater Broadway Partnership has done a wonderful job this past year with hiring Crossroads for clean up service along Broadway. They have also ordered aesthetically pleasing garbage cans that will be placed along Broadway to help with trash clean up. Keep your eyes open for the new Broadway Holiday banners that will be going up very soon.

The Greater Broadway Partnership encourages the public to attend and participate in the meetings. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Greater Broadway Partnership please send an email to: greaterbroadwayparnership@gmail.com
