A Taste of Land Park

We enjoyed our final day of Summer under the shade trees of 17th Street in Old Land Park for the Land Park Community Association's 8th Annual "A Taste of Land Park".

This event began in 1999 as an opportunity for residents to share an evening with friends and neighbors. This year we joined more than 500 of our neighbors for a wonderful evening of wine tasting, food, live music by the Midtown CREEPERS, and good conversation. With food from over 10 local restaurants, wine from over 20 area wineries, and cool brew being poured from Rubicon Brewing Company and Brew It Up, it was hard not to have a great time!

We especially liked riding our bikes to the event as they had an easy to use bike corral to house our bikes while we enjoyed the event.

The proceeds from this years event will be used for improvement projects in William Land Park and LPCA operational costs. It was nice to see everyone out in support of our beautiful neighborhood!

If your interested in getting involved with the LPCA, they hold their meetings at 6:30pm on the third Wednesday of each month at Holy Spirit School. The board meetings are open to the public and public participation is encouraged and welcomed. For membership information visit www.landpark.org or call 916/447-3813 #3.
