La Clarine Farm

We had the opportunity of trying La Clarine Farm's cheeses and meeting the cheesemaker Caroline Hoel at one of my favorite places to shop - Taylor's Market on Freeport Blvd. We immediately though of my Cousin's wife Manu who upon moving here from Chamonix found it hard to find cheeses she loved. We know Manu would love this cheese, and hopefully we can all visit the farm one day with their girls.

At La Clarine Farm, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at 2600 Feet, they raise dairy goats, winegrapes, chickens and bees. La Clarine Farm produces outstanding raw milk cheeses and natural wines, both with the stamp of their beautiful local terroir. They also make wonderful goat milk soaps using natural aromas and colorants.

La Clarine Farm's farming goes beyond "organic" - They utilize the rhythms,energies and seasonal changes of Nature to their advantage to offer you unique farmstead products with real flavor and character.

Their farming philosophy is: Do more by doing less.
