Save the date for Tuesday, December 9th for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the State Capitol West Steps. Hosted once again by our Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. And to all you 80's pop and General Hospital fans....Rick Springfield will be performing!
1,500 ornaments handcrafted by individuals with developmental disabilities statewide will grace the tree that will be lit with about 6,500 low-wattage lights.
Santa will be on site to support California Volunteers and bring holiday wishes to those less fortunate. Please bring a food item to donate and help Santa fill his sleigh!
The fun begins at 4:30.
