Saturday Kevin and I bundled up and began our Midtown Holiday experience at the Kris-Kindlemart at the Turn Verein in East Sacramento. After a little shopping, Rattenberger beer and German Sausages with our neighbors we were ready to hit Midtown. It was a foggy, chilly day which made it even easier to get in to the Holiday spirit.
We made sure we were at 26th & L for the Midtown Christmas Tree lighting at 5:30. Assembly Member Dave Jones and our new Mayor Kevin Johnson were present to do the countdown and light the tree. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...the tree didn't illuminate! Oops! After a laugh or two, ta da, the tree lit up and looked beautiful in all it's glistening glory!
We are so lucky to live in such a great community. Midtown has so much to offer and seems to be the hub of excitement. Now we can't wait for Hot Italian and MIX to open!
