Certified Famers Markets

May is the the start of the Stone Fruit season, with cherries leading the way! Local Strawberries are also in abundance!

It is important to support the markets! They can bring the farmers into town, but if the community does not consistently support the markets by shopping there on a regular basis, then the farmers stop attending and find other markets. We are in great competition with Bay Area markets for good farmers. In the Bay Area, the farmers can get much more per pound than they can get in Sacramento.

Please support our family farmers! Please care about our farmworkers! Please care about preserving our farmland! Do you know what foods are in season? Do you where your food is grown? Do you know who grew your food? ...... You do when you shop at a California Certified Farmers' Market.
Thanks for supporting California, California family farmers and California farm workers. Thanks for investing to maintain a generous food supply in the state where you raise your family.
